- Foor more than two weeks (Chain Saw Noises) there’s ongoing illegal wood cuttings in the area. We were witnessing it personally right there on Monday 19th August 2024. We took pictures on ground with phones, and also with drones. We met one guy while he was cutting with a Stihl chainsaw, claiming he was „just“ cleaning the forrest. When gooing into deeper conversation and making it clear that it’s illegal to cut without permission and in Natura 2000 area he openly admitted that he’s doing illegal. He reported not having other income and that he’s selling the the wood to locals for discount. He said we can call police, but they won’t do anything. We measured the place of damage and estimate the fresh cutted area of at least a Dekar. Along the way their are a lot of places from previous cuttings.
